> What is sports performance mindset coaching?
A partnership between the athlete, guardian and coach to work together to understand what’s holding the athlete back from achieving their potential in competition. Depending on what the athlete is challenged by, the coach will provide tools and strategies for the athlete to implement to grow their confidence in their sport.
> How old do you have to be for sports performance mindset coaching?
Sports performance mindset training is most useful for girls starting in middle school, however there have been a few clients as young as 9 years old.
> How do I know if my athlete is a good fit for sports performance mindset coaching?
If your athlete can recognize areas in their mindset that affect their ability to perform at their best and is interested in learning about the mental side of their game they will benefit from sports performance mindset training. Ask them about their fears, frustrations, butterflies, body language, if they can articulate their feelings around those thoughts and want to work to learn and become a more confident player, they are ready to grow their mindset.
> What will my athlete learn from sports performance mindset coaching?
Depending on what’s holding her back your athlete will be exposed to a realm of different topics that address her needs, some common topics include managing emotions, dealing with pressure, fear of failure, accepting feedback, lack of motivation, overcoming mistakes and so many more!
> What is discussed in a consultation call?
The consultation call is an introduction to Cindy and sports performance mindset coaching, you will briefly discuss the athlete and how mindset training can help her.
> What is discussed in the discovery call?
The discovery call is an opportunity for all parties to introduce themselves, Cindy will share her vision, background and experience with mindset training. The athlete and guardian will discuss strengths and opportunities for growth in her sport. Following 20 minutes of background discussion, Cindy will work with the client on a specific challenge she is experiencing to create a mini breakthrough and establish a step towards growth and confidence.
> What if my athlete signs up, but doesn't want to continue?
The discovery call is a great way to make sure this is a good fit situation for both parties; however, if you do purchase the starter package you will have five days following the discovery call to cancel and get your money back minus the discovery call fee of $70. No other refunds are granted beyond the discovery call.
> How is coaching different from therapy?
The main distinction between coaching and therapy is that coaching is more about visioning, finding solutions and moving into the future whereas therapy explores problems in the past. Coaching focuses on performance improvement, learning, and development in specific areas of the athlete's sport and life whereas therapy dives into deep-seated emotional issues to work on personal healing or trauma recovery.
> What happens if you sense a deeper underlying issue with an athlete?
As part of my certification, I have been trained to put my client first. I value trust and respect privacy, but if for any reason I am concerned for the welfare and safety of the athlete I will immediately inform the guardian.
> Will you share information the athlete confides in you?
Privacy is an important part of the coaching process and establishing trust is vital. There are specific areas within a conversation that will remain between the coach and the athlete especially if the athlete specifies. With that being said, three way open communication can provide a lot of important insight and perspective therefore there is a considerable amount of sharing between athlete, coach and guardian.
> How long does it take to see progress?
On average it takes about nine weeks to see progress and change that is sustainable. Similar to physical play, mindset training needs to be implemented at practice daily so new skills and strategies become a natural part of her game.
> How much homework is required?
The homework is minimal, but the practice components require a conscious commitment to implement strategies daily so the new mindset becomes ingrained. Fourteen minutes is 1% of each day, to spend 14 minutes of mindfulness daily is the minimal goal.
> Which sports do you provide mental coaching for?
Empowering Athletes Mindset is for female athletes in all sports and realms of competition, from dancers to wrestlers, all sports are welcome!
> How often will parents get updates?
Parents get updates quite often and are asked for insight throughout the sessions in order to understand progress, continued challenges and growth areas. Open lines of communication are an integral component of the 3 way partnership to help the athlete achieve the most they can out of mindset training.

> What does the price include?
All pricing includes: pre and post session work, actual session time with the athlete or guardians, follow up calls, texts and emails, plus a 3% convenience fee. Any required appearance or travel fees are not included.
> What does the College Recruiting Package entail?
The College Recruiting Package is a personalized consulting approach to recruiting through a series of sessions that educate and break down important elements of the recruiting process. Recruitment is a challenging journey, but as a former recruited player and parent of a college athlete you and your athlete feel empowered to embark on this journey with more knowledge and confidence. You will learn about NCAA rules, research best-fit schools, learn how to communicate with college coaches, email protocols, how to optimize id camps, how to maximize showcases, and so much more.
> What does the Mental Energy Package entail?
The Energy Package is a unique series of classes for highly conscious athletes. Through previous sessions, athletes show an ability to make thoughtful progress towards their potential. Their focus on effort and attitude breaks down into energy output levels related to their sport and how athletes approach practices and games from an advanced mindset. This powerful series breaks down barriers and builds a knowledgeable and confident athlete.

Individual Mindset Coaching
> How many days a week will the athlete meet?
Meetings most often take place one time a week to give the athlete time to implement tools and strategies into practice; however, the athlete and guardian can request twice a week due to needs and time constraints.
> Will the meeting be in person or online?
Majority of meetings at this point will be on Zoom.
> What if we need to reschedule?
You will have 24 hours prior to the scheduled meeting to reschedule your session for another time otherwise the session will be forfeited.
> How do we schedule meetings?
All meetings are scheduled online via this website’s calendar. Athletes are expected to sign up for the weekly sessions based on time that works for them within the EAM calendar.
> Do meetings stay the same day/time each week?
Meetings may vary based on availability, you will have the opportunity to choose the day and time each week in advance.
> How long do we have before sessions expire?
Depending on the package purchased, the sessions have varying expiration detailed on the services page. The sessions are intended for consecutive weekly use to yield the best results.
> Can parents be on the Zoom calls?
Parents are not encouraged to be part of the Zoom calls. We strive to instill confidence and empower athletes to take ownership of their own mindset by working one on one. They will often have an opportunity to provide insight via text, and questions are always welcomed. Open three way communication is a vital part of the athlete's growth to reach their potential.

Team Training
> How many students in an 8 week session?
A minimum of 5 and a maximum of 20 students in the team training.
> What topics are covered?
A realm of topics are covered in each of the 3 levels of team training but some topics include awareness around thoughts, self-talk strategies, visualization, goal setting, mistake ritual, manage emotions, challenge fears, overcome mistakes, process anxiety, and so much more!
> What if an athlete is unable to attend a session?
If an athlete is unable to attend a weekly session they will have one week to watch the zoom recorded playback.
> How do we know what day and time the session is?
Predetermined days and times will be set up for the team sessions. Team training will coordinate a time that works for their team.
> Is the meeting in person or online?
At this time, the majority of mindset training meetings will be on Zoom.
> Do we have to sign up for the team trainings in order of level?
Yes, the levels build upon each other. It’s important to build the foundation of awareness, thoughts, emotions and understanding the brain prior to jumping into higher level mindset skills. Level 1 is the first level to complete followed by level 2 then 3.
